As a second year graduate student myself, this gift guide is right up my alley! I've just completed semester one of year two, and just like the grad school student in your life - this semester was like no other. From streaming lectures, to Zoom organization meetings, Zoom office hours, Zoom interviews, and even becoming my own barista all in the matter of months!
With semester two of virtual grad school coming up in a few weeks, I've put together a list of some necessities to get through Spring 2021 of Zoom University!

Protection
If the grad school student in your life is a healthcare student like myself, they inevitably have to go to campus for clinical, labs (compounding, cadaver, etc.) and other activities that can only be performed in person. Personal protection equipment should be the first item on your gift list!
Headphones
From Zoom lectures in a noisy home or dorm, to zoom lectures at a local cafe or coffee shop. Headphones have been a godsend for students across every grade level. I use my AirPods when listening to podcasts en route to class or while eating a quick lunch and listening to a YouTube Lofi playlist to clear my mind. For more heavy studying, studying in noisy places or when re-listening to a lecture I utilize my Bose SoundLink II Around-Ear Wireless Headphones!
iPad
As I mentioned in my digital note taking video, pharmacy school moves on a much faster pace than undergraduate studies and I definitely would've fallen behind without the use of my iPad and MacBook simultaneously!
SmartWatch
From reminders to take a breath, accessing the days schedule, GPS navigation, tracking your water intake, monitoring your sleep schedule and of course tracking your workouts - smartwatches are multifunctional beasts.
Coffee Maker
There's nothing more important to me than a good cup of coffee and Zoom University has only reassured my caffeine addiction while simultaneously improving my barista skills. My parents gifted me the Keurig K-Latte Christmas 2019 and I've been HOOKED since!
Comfy Wear
I can't express my love for sweatshirts and sweatpants, and certainly I'm not the only grad school student who feels the same! Zoom University had every student in the "business on top and sweats on the bottom" outfit at least 3 times, and we're not ashamed. New comfy sweats for Spring 2021 of Zoom University are 100% at the top of my Christmas list!
